Hi! I'm Lila Castillo and I am the Beader behind Beads By Lila. I am Mexican and Mescalero Apache and I have been beading for over a year now. I love using lots of bright colors in my work like pastels, and nature is where I get most of my inspiration for my earrings. Earrings have no gender, and my work is made to be worn by everyone. As my business and I continue to grow, I love challenging my creativity by experimenting with new designs and colors ways.

Beading is one of the ways I honor my late, Apache grandfather who made the most beautiful jewelry using lots of beads and gemstones. It is important to me that I honor him this way by keeping beadwork/jewelry alive in our family. When you wear my creations, my hopes are that you can feel all of the love, time and care poured into each piece.
